Meet The Team
President & COO
Jennifer began her career in the staffing and consulting world in 1993 when she began working for a successful national firm looking to open and build a corporate branch in Kansas City from the ground up. After just over 10 years of working with branch start-ups and company turn around ventures in the Information Technology and Business Consulting space, a chance meeting with and Entrepreneurial Technologist led to the founding of Velocity Staff, Inc. Jennifer enjoys the challenge of identifying, attracting and applying talent to opportunity and fostering the growth and development of others. However, what truly drives her is the opportunity to build, foster and grow relationships and making a difference in the community.
In addition to her work as a leader within the Velocity organization, Jennifer is a founder, board member and volunteer of Hoops4Hope, a not-for-profit 501c3 charity that raises funds and awareness for organizations that support cancer patients in need in our community. She also works with the Natalie M Foundation to support scholarships for college bound students interested in pursuing STEM disciplines and works with the Foundation to encourage and educate young women to celebrate their strengths and capabilities.
Jennifer is a graduate of Kansas State University and enjoys spending time with her husband and three step-children. When she is taking a break from the real world, she is exercising her inner athlete as a terrible golfer, a mediocre skier and an avid beach-goer.
Director of Resource Development
Jill began her career in the staffing and consulting industry in 2006 when she joined Velocity Staff. As a part of Velocity Staff, she has helped to build and execute recruiting strategies and ensure success in recruiting efforts by identifying top talent for our clients. Through the development of recruiting plans, employing traditional and new sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas, Jill is passionate about her role and enjoys building relationships with candidates and helping them to learn and grow in their career.
Jill grew up in the Kansas City area and is a graduate of the University of Kansas. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, as well as attending sporting events, spending time with friends, and traveling.
Resource Development Specialist
Danielle is new to the staffing world but has always found a home working in human relations. Originally from Wichita, KS, Danielle graduated from the University of Kansas and has been in the Kansas City area since. While attending school, Danielle worked as a restaurant manager and among the day to day operations, she was responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training new candidates for her team. She also has a creative side which she utilizes day to day to help her team.
When not at work, Danielle likes to spend time with her husband and new baby girl. During the summer they love to go swimming and to the park and spend time with family.
Su loves working with all employees from on boarding to off boarding and is always available to everyone for questions regarding time sheets, payroll, expenses and benefits. She has 25+ years of experience with Employee Benefits Administration, payroll, accounting, and Human Resources as well as Business insurance and Worker’s Compensation. Su has an accounting degree as well as Professional Certification through the American Payroll Association and has been accredited through SHRM as a Professional in Human Resource Management. Since starting with Velocity Staff in 2012 Su has used her experience to work with employees when they start work with us, while they are employees and when they transition to their next role. On the personal side Su enjoys hiking in the Colorado Rockies, spending precious time with her 2 1/2 yr old grand babies and her Giant Schnauzer Zoe, and loves relaxing at their favorite breakfast place on weekends with her husband.
