I suspect that you can find cheese fondue in Lucerne / Luzern in the next few weeks, even if it is "off season," though of course, I could be wrong. So many people love to eat cheese, so it is no wonder that Cheese Fondue in Switzerland is considered as a popular appetizer or a complete meal. Decorations were super quirky but the food was good! It became popular back in the 1930’s when the Swiss Cheese Union was trying to increase the consumption of cheese. We enjoyed fondue with bread, potatoes, veggies, chicken, and beef followed by fresh fruit in melted chocolate - mmmnnm. We just normal regular eating folks so the food amount was huge.
