You’re right about how the biters become a non-issue later on in the game, but that’s something I’d want to change, I want to have to build insane defenses to keep fighting off bigger and badder foes. Although a Sim city type for a less "grounded" approach or a Rimworld/Dwarf Fortress type for the extreme opposite could also work, but I think the middle ground that Frostpunk and They Are Billions offer is more appealing.
