Jul 13, 2018 @ 3:16pm alignment mod completly broken I was trying to make a perfectly flat bit of ground, and getting the angle was proving to be frusturating, so I went and researched and made an alignment mod. Haven't had a chance to use it since 1.0, but will soon.
If you want a flat surface that does not curve at all, you should just use the normal flatten mode without the alignment mod. I guess I'm not quite sure what it is you folks think the alignment mod is supposed to be doing, but in any case, its purpose is to create a surface that follows the curvature of the planet, i.e. All rights reserved. The choice is yours.

I remember being able to use it to make smooth pathways down into caves by putting it on a slanted surface and then just making a smooth pathway on that plane.

I'm sure there's plenty of players that still use it for creative purposes, so I'm not suggesting you remove it. I wished the Alignment Flatten-Mod would always keep the level to the planet core unfortunatly as long as you press CTRL and don't release it, it continues the flat-angle from the starting point even when you (the char) moves. If you raise a column straight up, you can Left-CTRL without the mod installed to get a vertical flat wall from one of the vertices of the column you raised. Thread done.
